The industrial rupture

The Industrial Age is the game's first great betrayal of your own expertise: the fortifications three eras perfected become targets forartillery that outranges them, and Oil joins the resource game as the fuel of the new machines. Empires that adapt early — new offense, new defense, new economy — enter the modern eras on their own terms.

The sky opens

The Modern Age makes the battlefield three-dimensional.Fighter jets reach any point on the map, tanks spearhead the ground, andair defense becomes as fundamental as walls once were. The era's defining logic: missiles counter aircraft, heavy armor overpowers light, and single-domain armies stop being armies.

Information becomes the weapon

In the Advanced Modern Age,drones make scouting continuous, intelligence infrastructure turns seeing into a system, and precision strikes reward knowing exactly where to hit. EMP effects introduce the countermeasure: disrupt the systems that support precision strikes. Both players can see the battlefield, so timing and positioning decide when those strikes matter.

The futuristic synthesis

The Futuristic Age is the exam. Energy and Rare Crystals gate the endgame — laser tanks, war mechs, and theindustry that builds them — while everything your empire ever learned stays on the field. The signature vulnerability is dependence: strike thepower grid and the most advanced army in history fights at half strength.

And the dragons are still here

The timeline never retires its past. Medieval andmythical forces share the late-game battlefield with jets and mechs — which is exactly the kind of army-design question the whole game is built around. The Industrial to Futuristic guides go deeper as systems mature.

Your battlefield is closer than you think.
