Empire Command AR ("the game") is developed and published by Liliq Holdings LLC ("we"). This policy explains what information the game and this website collect, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. It reflects what version 1.0 of the game actually does; if that changes, this document changes with a new date. The same policy is shown inside the game.
The short version
- Ads come from Google AdMob. Only players we know are adults, and who allow tracking, can get personalized ads; everyone else gets non-personalized ads. No Ads Forever, the Empire Pass and Empire Pass Lite remove full-screen ads. We do not sell your data.
- The camera is used only on your device. Camera images never leave your phone and are never stored. Room measurements are saved with your town; a limited floor outline and gameplay obstacles may also be shared with a live 1v1 opponent.
- An anonymous player account is created automatically so your game can be saved online and other players can raid your town. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional.
- Apple handles every payment. We never see your card or payment details.
- You can delete your account at any time inside the game (Settings → Delete Account & Data). Some records may be kept afterwards; they are listed under Data deletion.
Information the game collects
| Data | What it is | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anonymous player ID | A random identifier created by Unity Authentication the first time you play. We do not ask for your real name, phone number, or address. | Sign-in and saving your game online | Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies) |
| Optional Apple or Google sign-in | With Sign in with Apple we do not request your name or email address. Google's sign-in always shares your name, email address, and profile picture with the game; its sign-in token, which contains them, is passed to Unity Authentication. Our own game servers do not store your email address or name. | Restoring your account on another device | Unity Authentication, Apple, Google |
| Display name | The name you choose (public on leaderboards, raid screens, and clan pages, and checked against a list of offensive words). Your avatar choice stays on your device. | Showing who you are to other players | Unity Gaming Services |
| Clans and clan trades | The name of a clan you create, the clan you join, and the trade offers you post or accept on your clan's trade board; other players can see a clan's name and members, and a trade offer shows your display name and the resources and amounts involved | Clan features and the clan trade board | Unity Cloud Save |
| Community Fund poll vote | If you vote in the poll (Store → Community Fund), your choice and the time you voted, published with your player ID | Counting your vote in the totals other players see | Unity Cloud Save |
| Game save data | Your towns, progress, resources, items, the purchases you own, battle history, and settings. For towns built on a scanned room, this includes the outline of the play area and the outlines and heights of furniture, stored as measurements. A limited gameplay version of the outline and obstacles may be sent for live 1v1. | Restoring your game across sessions and devices | On your device and in Unity Cloud Save |
| Public town snapshot | Your display name, town power, empire age, map style, and building layout; never your room's shape, resources, or army | Letting other players raid your town | Unity Cloud Save / Unity Leaderboards |
| Battles and rankings | Raid reports (who raided whom, and the result), live 1v1 match records and results, leaderboard score and rank, and resources you send to or receive from other players | Running raids, live matches, and leaderboards | Unity Gaming Services |
| Your age | On first launch the game asks your iPhone for your age range, using Apple's Declared Age Range feature, where your iPhone supports it and you agree to share. Otherwise it asks for your birth year; you may choose not to answer. | Deciding which ads you may see (see Advertising); apart from ads it does not change which features you can use | The age range from Apple stays on your device; a birth year you give is stored in Unity Gaming Services. A server-confirmed under-13 declaration also leaves only an under-13 flag and date in this iPhone's Keychain. |
| Agreement records | Which versions of the multiplayer agreement and of the Terms of Service and this policy you accepted, when, your device platform, and the game's version; recorded before your first live 1v1 match | Keeping a record of what you agreed to | Unity Gaming Services |
| Purchase record | The Apple transaction ID, the product, the time, and whether it was a test or real purchase. Each purchase is checked with Apple's App Store Server API through our own verification service. | Delivering what you buy and preventing fraud | Unity Gaming Services; checked through our service on Cloudflare |
| Advertising data | Collected by Google AdMob's software to show, limit, and measure ads: device identifiers (including the advertising identifier, IDFA, only if you allow tracking), your IP address and the general location it suggests, which ads you see and tap, and technical and performance data | Showing reward videos you choose to watch and full-screen ads after some battles | Google, under its own privacy policy |
| Security records | Request counts, integrity checks on game requests, and any action taken against an account for breaking the rules. This iPhone also keeps a random, device-only integrity key and one-bit migration markers indexed by short hashes of local save or preference names. Their values contain no raw player ID or birth year. | Preventing cheating and abuse | Unity Gaming Services and iOS Keychain on this iPhone |
What the game does not collect
- Precise location. The game does not ask for location permission or use GPS. Our service providers see your IP address when the game connects to them and may use it to estimate your general region (for example, your country), such as to choose a nearby match server.
- Tracking by us. Our own servers do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Only Google's ad software may, and only for adults who allow it (see Advertising).
- Contacts, photos, and microphone. Not accessed. Voice chat is not part of this version.
- Crash reports. The game does not send crash reports to us in this version. Unity's software may collect limited technical information (such as device model and operating-system version) that its services need to work.
- Chat. Clan chat is not available in this version. Chat may be offered in a future update; if it is, this policy will be updated to describe it.
- Push notifications. Not used in this version. If you allow notifications, reminders (for example, when construction finishes) are scheduled on your device.
The camera and your room
The game uses Apple's ARKit to detect your floor, the boundary of your play area, and furniture to build around. The camera feed, and hand tracking if you pick up units with your hand, are processed on your device only; camera images are never uploaded, sent, or stored by us. When you save a town built on a scanned room, the save includes the outline of the play area and the outlines and heights of furniture the scan found, as measurements, and it is backed up to your private Unity Cloud Save. It is never a photo, video, or 3D model of your room. The detailed spatial map ARKit builds to recognize your room again stays on your device. The public town snapshot other players raid contains only your building layout, never your room's shape. If you host a live 1v1 battle using an AR-derived arena, a normalized gameplay floor outline of up to 64 points and up to 40 obstacle blocks is sent to the opponent through the match service and kept for up to 30 days. It contains no camera imagery or detailed room mesh.
Purchases
Apple processes every payment, and we never see or store your card or payment details. To deliver what you buy, we check each purchase with Apple's App Store Server API through our own verification service, hosted on Cloudflare, and keep the purchase record described above.
How we use this information
Only to run the game: create and restore your account, save and back up your towns, run leaderboards, raids, clans, the clan trade board, the Community Fund poll, and live matches, keep a record of the agreements you accepted, deliver and verify purchases, prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse, keep the service working, and answer you when you contact us. We do not sell your personal information. Our own servers do not use it for advertising; ads are handled by Google as described below.
Advertising
Ads come from Google AdMob. What you see depends on your age and your choices:
- Only players we know are adults (18 or older) can get personalized ads, and only if they allow tracking when iOS asks and, in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, give consent in Google's consent form.
- Players under 18, and players whose age is unknown or who chose not to share it, get non-personalized ads and are never asked to allow tracking.
- Non-personalized ads are not based on your activity in other apps, but Google may still use data such as your IP address to limit how often an ad appears, prevent fraud, and measure ads.
- You can change your tracking choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland you can change your consent from the privacy choices in the game's settings.
- No Ads Forever, the Empire Pass, and Empire Pass Lite remove full-screen ads. Reward videos stay available to everyone, and you never have to watch one.
- Ads in the game are limited to content suitable for teens.

Service providers
- Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services): player accounts and sign-in, cloud saves, server-side game logic (Cloud Code), and leaderboards. unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Apple: the App Store, in-app purchase payments and verification, and Sign in with Apple. apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google: ads (Google AdMob), the ad consent form in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland (Google's User Messaging Platform), and optional Google Sign-In. policies.google.com/privacy
- Edgegap: game servers for live 1v1 matches. The match server sees your IP address while you are connected.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and our purchase verification service. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate.
This website
- No advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. The site currently runs no analytics; if privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics are added later, this section will say so first.
- Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site.
- Newsletter/playtest signups store the email address you give us, your stated platform/content interests, a consent timestamp and consent-text version, and the form source, in Cloudflare storage. They are used only to send the development emails you asked for. To stop abuse, the form also keeps short-lived request counters keyed by a one-way hash of your network address. Every email includes an unsubscribe path, and you can request removal at any time at [email protected].
- Local preferences (like a dismissed announcement or an article-feedback flag) live in your browser's storage and never leave it.
Children
The game is not directed to children under 13. We use your age range or birth year to decide which ads you may see: players under 18 never get personalized ads or a tracking request, and ads are limited to content suitable for teens. If you give your birth year, we store it on our servers. Apart from ads, your age does not change which features you can use in this version, and chat and voice are not offered to any player. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has given us personal information, email[email protected] and we will delete it.
Data deletion
We keep your account and game data for as long as your account exists. To delete it, openSettings → Delete Account & Data in the game. This deletes your player account, your saved towns and profile, your public town snapshot, and your raid history from our servers, asks our servers to delete your multiplayer records and your birth year, and erases locally saved game data. The under-13 flag and date, random integrity key, and hashed one-bit migration markers in iOS Keychain remain. The game attempts to remove the raw account-owner player ID from Keychain; if cleanup fails, that ID can remain until a later retry, with a small local retry flag. If our servers cannot be reached, the game erases local saves at once but temporarily keeps the login and retry information needed to finish server deletion when it next connects; if you delete the app before then, email[email protected] and we will finish it. Some records may remain after deletion:
- purchase records, where needed to prevent fraud, handle refunds, or meet tax and legal obligations;
- the record that reserves your display name (the name and your former player ID), so that name may stay unavailable to others;
- records that are part of other players' games, such as the results of matches you played against them and raid reports in their history;
- clan information, clan trade offers you posted or accepted, and your Community Fund poll vote: leave your clan before deleting your account, or your clan's name and membership may stay visible; your trade offers and poll vote may also stay visible to other players; contact us to have any of it removed;
- the record of which agreements you accepted (the multiplayer agreement, the Terms of Service, and this policy) and when;
- your leaderboard entry (display name and score); contact us to have it removed;
- information Google collected to show you ads, which Google keeps under its own privacy policy;
- other game records our servers keep for your account, such as your server-side currency balance and progress, items you own, reward history, records of resources you sent to or received from other players, and records of the raid reports sent to players you raided; contact us to have them removed;
- limited security, anti-cheat, and deletion records, kept for a limited time, and records of an account sanction while it applies.
Deleting the app removes the game's files from your device but does not delete your account. The under-13 Keychain marker remains after account deletion or app deletion and reinstall; the game uses it to keep a new anonymous account on this device in the child-restricted age state. It has no player ID or birth year, and the game does not automatically remove it. The random integrity key and hashed one-bit migration markers also remain in Keychain after account deletion or reinstall to prevent local data tampering and repeat migration of old unsealed data. If raw account-owner ID cleanup failed before you deleted the app, that Keychain item may still be present until cleanup can be retried. For website signup data, email [email protected]from the address in question.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK, or some US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your information, and to object to or limit how we use it. Use the in-game delete option to delete your game data; for any other request, email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time (see Advertising); some US state laws call personalized advertising "sharing" or "targeted advertising", and turning off tracking opts you out of it.
Security
We rely on the security of Unity Gaming Services, Apple, and our other service providers to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
